THE FASTEST WAY THAT LEADS TO THE INNOVATIONS
For the LIGNA 2011 (May 30 - June 03, 2011) numerous impulses are expected for the wood processing industry. One of its underlying themes will be the "Resource Efficiency". The 18th Novelty Symposium is an efficient method to become rapidly acquainted with the major fair novelties and trends.
In the course of the Novelty Symposium the professors of the Faculty Wood Engineering of the UAS Rosenheim, Frieder Scholz, Heinrich Köster and Maximilian Ober, will embrace the highly topical development of the woodworking sector. The presentations will be short and compact. Exhibits for furniture manufacturing, constructional elements (windows, doors, flooring) and timber prefabricated houses will be presented. Machining technology, surface technology as well as the fields of assembly, handling and logistics will be considered.
At the Novelty Symposium novelties will be presented that represent an industry-specific novelty and that are on the market no longer than two years, i.e. that were not presented at the last LIGNA.
The novelty presentations are based on an extensive research work of the organizers, the Holz-Zentralblatt issued by the DRW-Verlag Weinbrenner GmbH & Co. KG, the UAS Rosenheim and the SCHULER Consulting GmbH .

ASSESSMENT AND AWARDING
For answering the question "Which ist the most important novelty at LIGNA 2011 ?", the criteria is diversified. Therefore at the novelty symposium the decision of the competent fair visitor giving his individual assessment on the three "front runners" will be required. The result of this expert selection will be announced the same day at the Rosenheim Evening. The exhibitors of the awarded exhibits obtain the certificates for their cutting edge technology at their fair booth the very next morning.
